Become a Community Collection Partner
Every day, generous mothers choose to donate their surplus breast milk to help premature and medically fragile babies receive the safe, pasteurized donor human milk they need to thrive.
As Mothers’ Milk Bank California continues to grow, we are expanding our network of Community Collection Partners to make milk donation more convenient for families and increase access throughout the communities we serve.
If your organization serves breastfeeding families, we invite you to explore whether becoming a Community Collection Partner is the right fit.
Together, we can make it easier for mothers to give the gift of donor milk and help ensure more babies have access to this life-saving resource.
What Is a Community Collection Partner?
A Community Collection Partner serves as a convenient drop-off location where approved milk donors can deliver their frozen donated milk close to home.
Partners play an important role in expanding access to milk donation by making it easier for families to participate while helping Mothers’ Milk Bank California strengthen the donor milk supply for hospitals and families throughout our service region.
Your organization does not process donor milk. Mothers’ Milk Bank California manages every aspect of the donor milk program, including:
- Donor screening and approval
- Medical review and laboratory testing
- Quality assurance
- Transportation logistics
- Pasteurization
- Nutritional analysis
- Safety testing
- Distribution to hospitals and outpatient families
Your role is simply to provide a trusted, convenient location where approved donors can drop off their milk.
Why Become a Community Collection Partner?
By partnering with Mothers’ Milk Bank California, your organization can:
- Support premature and medically fragile infants
- Make milk donation more convenient for local families
- Expand maternal and infant health services within your community
