Ship Your Milk to Us via FedEx

You can send your milk directly to us using FedEx. When you’re ready to ship, contact your Donor Coordinator, email Cooler@MothersMilk.org, or call 1-877-375-6645 (option 3).

LEARN HOW TO PACK YOUR COOLER
  1. Open the large plastic bag inside your cooler.
  2. Make sure every bag containing breast milk is clearly labeled with the date of expression.
  3. Place all frozen milk bags tightly inside the large plastic bag and seal it airtight. For easier packing, you may stack milk bags inside large resealable plastic bags.
  4. Pack the milk tightly with no air pockets, any empty space increases thawing risk.
  5. Fill any remaining space inside the cooler with packing paper, crumpled grocery bags, bubble wrap, or empty boxes to make it airtight. You may add frozen gel packs (blue ice), but DO NOT add ice or dry ice. Note: gel packs cannot be returned.
  6. Ensure no space remains between the top of the milk and the cooler lid.
  7. Place the required ILLNESS AND MEDICATION REPORT inside the cooler.
  8. Seal the cooler securely with mailing or duct tape, taping all around at least once. If using a foam box inside a cardboard box, keep the foam box inside, place the foam lid on top, close the cardboard flaps, and tape the cardboard box. DO NOT tape the foam lid to the foam box.
  9. Attach your FedEx Priority Express label inside the provided plastic sleeve, peel off the backing, and stick it to the top of your cooler. Tape the sleeve to secure it, but do not tape over barcodes.
  10. Place the RED fragile sticker on the outside of the cooler.
  11. Once ready to ship, please call us at 408-998-4550 (ext. 3) or email us at Cooler@MothersMilk.org, and we will schedule a FedEx pickup for you directly. Please have milk ready and in the cooler 30 minutes before your allotted FedEx pick-up time.
  12. If FedEx has not arrived within the last 30 minutes of your pick-up window, please call Mothers’ Milk Bank to inquire on status.
