Double Your Gift with Employer Matching

Thousands of companies match the charitable donations their employees make, which means your gift to Mothers’ Milk Bank California could double, or even triple, without costing you anything more. Many donors don’t realize this benefit is available to them, and matching gifts often go unclaimed. Here’s how to make sure yours counts.

How employer matching works in three steps:

  1. Check whether your employer matches.
Ask your HR or community-giving team, or look for a “matching gifts,” “workplace giving,” or “corporate social responsibility” section on your company’s internal site or giving portal (many companies use platforms like Benevity or YourCause). Large employers, including many technology, finance, and consulting companies, frequently offer matching.
  2. Submit your matching-gift request.
Complete your employer’s matching gift form, usually a quick online submission through their giving portal, or a short paper form. You’ll provide your donation details and our organization’s information (below).
  3. We’ll take it from there.
Once your employer confirms the request with us, we verify your gift and the match is complete. Your generosity — doubled.
