Welcome to the Sock It Forward: Design the Official 2026 Mothers’ Milk Bank California Sock contest!
Thank you for sharing your creativity with us. Before entering, please review these Official Rules.
1. Sponsor
The contest is sponsored by Mothers’ Milk Bank California, 1887 Monterey Road, Suite 105–110, San Jose, CA 95112.
2. Contest Period
Entries will be accepted beginning September 9, 2026 and must be received by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on October 16, 2026.
Late entries will not be accepted.
3. Who Can Enter?
The contest is open to individuals who:
- Are legal residents of the United States
- Are at least 18 years of age, or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian if under 18
- Submit an original design that meets the contest requirements
Employees of Mothers’ Milk Bank California and members of the judging panel may not enter.
4. How to Enter
Complete the online entry form and upload your original sock design through the contest webpage.
There is no purchase or donation required to enter.
Limit one (1) entry per person unless otherwise stated.
5. Design Requirements
Your design must:
- Be your own original work.
- Not infringe on another person’s copyright, trademark, or intellectual property.
- Not contain offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or inappropriate content.
- Not include copyrighted characters, logos, or artwork owned by others without permission.
Mothers’ Milk Bank California reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not meet these requirements.
6. Judging
Eligible entries will be evaluated based on:
- Creativity
- Originality
- Wearability
- How well the design reflects the spirit and mission of Mothers’ Milk Bank California
All judging decisions are final.
7. Grand Prize
The winning designer will receive:
- Recognition as the Official 2026 Mothers’ Milk Bank California Sock Designer
- Professionally produced socks featuring the winning design
- Recognition on our website and social media
- A commemorative certificate
- Mothers’ Milk Bank California merchandise
- Lifetime bragging rights
No cash alternative will be offered.
8. Ownership of Your Design
You keep ownership of your original artwork.
If your design is selected as the winner, you agree to grant Mothers’ Milk Bank California a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, manufacture, modify (only as necessary for production), distribute, promote, and sell products featuring your design.
Reasonable production adjustments (such as color matching or sizing) may be made without altering the overall concept of your design.
9. Publicity
By entering, you grant Mothers’ Milk Bank California permission to use your name, city, submitted artwork, photographs, and likeness for promotional, educational, fundraising, and marketing purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
10. Cancellation
Mothers’ Milk Bank California reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the contest if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make it necessary to do so.
11. Acceptance
By submitting an entry, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Official Rules.
